Terms of Service
These terms form an agreement with Silarah, operated in India, for use of the app, website and related Muslim matrimonial introduction services.
1. Agreement and policies
By creating an account, using Silarah or purchasing a plan, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Privacy Rights and Grievance Policy, Community Guidelines, Refund Policy, Data Deletion Policy, Verification Policy, Photo Moderation Policy and Guardian/Wali Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and purpose
You must be at least 18, legally capable of accepting this agreement and legally permitted to marry under the law that applies to you. Silarah is for genuine matrimonial introductions. It is not an escort, casual-dating, fundraising, employment, immigration or investment platform.
3. Accounts and truthful information
Provide accurate and current identity, age, marital status, location and matrimonial information. Protect your device and OTP codes and tell support@silarah.com promptly about suspected unauthorized access. Do not create an account for another adult without their knowledge and authority.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Silarah a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, technically adapt, moderate and display it only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service. This licence ends when the content or account is deleted, except for caches and records lawfully retained for safety, disputes or legal duties. You must have rights and permission for every upload.
5. Discovery and communication
Compatibility and discovery results are recommendations based on information and preferences members choose to state, not character, safety or marriage-outcome assessments. Explanations can omit unspecified criteria and do not reveal another member’s raw preference values. Feature limits can vary by plan, product rules, safety state and region and are shown before use or purchase. A match or accepted interest does not mean endorsement, identity certainty, compatibility or consent to off-platform contact. Respect blocks and requests to stop.
6. Verification and guardians
Photo, verified-email, account-history and guardian trust checks reduce some risks but do not establish legal identity and are not criminal, financial or comprehensive background checks. A badge is not a promise that every statement is true or that a member is safe. Guardian mode is optional functionality, not legal or religious advice.
7. Subscriptions
Paid plans, included features, total price, currency, billing period, trial (if any) and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Premium features may include explainable compatibility, private shortlists and Incognito Discovery. Incognito limits general discovery and search only while it is enabled and Premium remains active; it does not hide prior interests, matches, permitted photo-access or guardian relationships. Google Play subscriptions renew automatically at the displayed price and frequency until cancelled there. Use the in-app Manage Subscription link or Google Play Subscription Center before the renewal date shown by Google Play. Removing the app, pausing a profile or deleting a Silarah account does not cancel billing. Cancellation stops future renewal and ordinarily preserves access through the paid period; it does not automatically refund that period. Refunds follow mandatory consumer law, Google Play rules and our Refund Policy. Premium never guarantees an interest, match, response, meeting or marriage.
8. Prohibited conduct
You must not misrepresent identity or intent; solicit money, visas, investments or services; harass, threaten, stalk or discriminate; sexualize or exploit anyone; share private or intimate material without consent; upload unlawful or malicious content; scrape or sell member data; automate outreach; evade access, moderation, subscription or rate limits; manipulate reports or verification; or use Silarah unlawfully. See the Community Guidelines.
9. Enforcement and appeals
We may remove content, limit visibility or features, require verification, preserve evidence, suspend or terminate an account, and report serious matters where reasonably necessary for safety, enforcement or law. Urgent action may occur without advance notice. Appeal through safety@silarah.com.
10. Closure and deletion
You can pause visibility or request deletion in Settings. Deletion enters a 30-day recovery period and is then processed subject to limited lawful retention in our Data Deletion Policy. Terms that must survive closure—such as payment, disclaimers, liability, disputes and lawful retention—continue.
11. Disclaimers
Silarah is an introduction and communication service provided “as available”. We do not arrange or guarantee a meeting, relationship or marriage, verify every claim, control off-platform conduct or promise uninterrupted operation. Use independent judgment, protect financial and identity information, involve trusted people where appropriate and meet safely. Mandatory statutory rights are not excluded.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Silarah is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, loss of opportunity, or another member’s conduct. Aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of what you paid in the prior 12 months or the minimum required by law. This does not limit fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that cannot legally be limited.
13. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Indian law without removing mandatory consumer protections in your country. Contact grievance@silarah.com and allow 30 days for good-faith resolution before filing a non-urgent claim. Courts of competent jurisdiction in India have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory local forum rights.
14. Changes and contact
Material changes will be notified in-app or by email and renewed consent will be requested where required. Product questions: support@silarah.com. Formal grievances: grievance@silarah.com.
